A 22-year-old Oamaru man, arrested last week as part of the police drug action Operation Nest, now faces 80 drug dealing-related charges.
Further charges had been laid since he appeared in the Oamaru District Court last week. At that appearance, he was remanded on bail but he was apprehended on Monday for breaching his bail conditions, Detective Sergeant Mike Ryder said yesterday.
Police did not oppose bail and he was granted bail by the High Court at Christchurch. He will appear again in the Oamaru District Court on December 22.
Operation Nest was an action targeting organised crime focusing on the misuse of prescription medication and property.
