Weston School’s new kitchen classroom is delivered to the grounds on Tuesday morning while excited pupils watch from the monkey bars.

The facility is installed next to the school’s vegetable garden and will be used to teach children cooking skills.

The classroom cost about $100,000 and was funded through fundraising, Otago Community Trust and Oamaru Licensing grants and local sponsors.

Money raised at the Weston School fireworks night was put towards the project.
