While it was a single cattle beast beside a well worn gate on State Highway 85 near Dunback that caught this photographers attention, within a few minutes all its paddock mates were lined up in front of the camera.

Cattle are naturally curious and intelligent animals. 

Their curiosity is driven by their keen senses of smell and hearing, which allow them to monitor their environment and investigate new things.
