Emergency services personnel attend a single-vehicle crash in North Otago yesterday.

A police spokeswoman said the crash occurred in Beach Rd, about 1km south of the North Otago Golf Course, near Oamaru, about 2.15pm.

Two people were in the car and had minor injuries, she said.

A tow was called for the car, and traffic could still travel through the area.

A St John spokesman said an ambulance was not required.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand also attended.

Our journalists are your neighbours

We are the South's eyes and ears in crucial council meetings, at court hearings, on the sidelines of sporting events and on the frontline of breaking news.

As our region faces uncharted waters in the wake of a global pandemic, Otago Daily Times continues to bring you local stories that matter.

We employ local journalists and photographers to tell your stories, as other outlets cut local coverage in favour of stories told out of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
