The organisers of a public meeting in Oamaru on Monday night aimed at enlightening parents about what was happening with teenagers, are thrilled with the response.
Waitaki Boys High School Community Association member Lynne Sinclair said the auditorium at Waitaki Boys was nearly full.
Parents were made aware of the dangers of binge drinking and associated behaviour. It was hoped the next step would involve speakers addressing school pupils.
Mrs Sinclair hoped to set up a database of names of those who attended.
