About 400 residents will get the chance to rate the Waitaki District Council's performance, as part of a survey.
The annual resident satisfaction survey is to gain residents' views and opinions on the council's performance over the last 12 months, including things they think it is doing well and what they think could be done better.
The council's policy manager, Fraser Liggett, said about 400 residents would be contacted by Pulse Ltd, an independent Oamaru-based research company appointed to conduct the survey.
"Pulse will use a random selection method to telephone residents living in each of the wards in the district to get their opinions on a range of council services and activities," he said.
The survey selection methods were designed to provide a sample representative of the demographics of people living in the Waitaki District.
The information gathered was treated in the strictest confidence and helped us identify whether council services were meeting residents' expectations.
Mr Liggett encouraged residents who had the opportunity to take part in the survey to do so.
