Water plant opens

A new water treatment plant that opened in Palmerston this week will provide top-quality drinking water for 1600 consumers in Palmerston and the surrounding districts.

The scheme will end the waiting list for people seeking connection to the rural water supplies in Goodwood and Dunback.

The new plant, built at an estimated cost of $1.8 million, means an end to discolouration and boil-water notices for Goodwood and Dunback consumers.
