For a group of 40 people from across Northern Otago, a weekly choir practice is a chance to come together and harmonise.
The Central Otago Regional Choir includes members from Queenstown, and will be performing at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church this Friday.
Choir member Sue Lind said the choir would perform "Feel the Spirit", a cycle of American spiritual pieces arranged for mixed choirs and Hebrew love songs, as well as more recognisable songs the audience could sing along to.
The choir, conducted by John Buchanan, will be joined by Wakatipu High School jazz band Best Served Chilled for their Queenstown performance, and Dunstan High School choir Dunstanza at the Wanaka and Alexandra concerts.
Mrs Lind described the choir as "serious but fun"- it was a professional choir but with a social atmosphere.
The Queenstown concert will start at 7.30pm. Tickets cost $20 and are available at the door or from Wilkinson's Pharmacy or Summerfield's Pharmacy in Frankton.
