MCs Deach, Tyree and Young Sid's debut single Brother smashed a 23-year-old record in New Zealand by clocking up the longest consecutive run at No 1 by a Kiwi act on the New Zealand singles chart.
Deach took some time out of his day to tell the Queenstown Times a few of his favourite things...
QT: What did you have for lunch today?
D: Open chicken sandwich from Meccanno in Auckland. Whenever I'm in the city - I live in South Auckland - I like to eat there.
QT: What is your favourite food?
D: I like to indulge in KFC, but try not to.
QT: What is your favourite spot in Queenstown?
D: The Luge, but be warned, if it says slow down, you should slow down!
QT: Queenstown needs more . . .
D: Brown people. It seems like the only brown people are security.
QT: Queenstown needs less . . .
D: Expensive places to eat and drink.
QT: Who are your role models?
D: Savage and Tana Umaga. They are Samoans who have achieved the pinnacle of their professions.
QT: What was the latest CD you bought?
D: Eminem. It shows you how much hip hop has changed. He sings a lot on this album.
QT: And the latest DVD?
D: I watched the BET Awards. It was a Michael Jackson tribute. It's awesome.
QT: What is your favourite way to relax?
D: Listening to slow jams on my iPod.
QT: What winds you up?
D: Getting blamed for something I didn't do.
QT: What cracks you up?
D: Eddie Murphy doing stand-up comedy.
QT: What are you reading at the moment?
D: I don't really read that much. Only magazines.
QT: Do you have a favourite quote you live by?
D: Live for today. Tomorrow may never come. That's why I don't have savings!
QT: If you could do anything, what would it be?
D: Stop illegal downloading of music.
