Last chance to have say on health services

Residents have a third and final opportunity, on Friday to tell the National Health Board what services they want in the Wakatipu before a community wide meeting is held on Thursday, July 28.

Panel chairman Dr Peter Foley, of Napier, with consumer advocate David Russell and emergency physician Dr Angela Pitchford are expected to make themselves available for public feedback in the meeting room of the Queenstown Lakes District Council, from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.

The discussion topic will be general practice and community health services.

However, residents are encouraged to raise any concerns over any aspect of the Wakatipu's health services.

The panel announced it would hold a second public meeting in the mezzanine function room of the Queenstown Events Centre, on Thursday, July 28, at 7.30pm.

The meeting is to inform the community of ideas the panel has heard to help determine the best way to structure Wakatipu's health services in the future.
