Wakatipu residents have been taking advantage of discounted rates at the Blanket Bay lodge near Glenorchy.
The lodge, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, has now extended its offer to people from outside the region who buy an Ultimate Escape holiday package from Auckland, Napier, Kerikeri or Christchurch.
General manager Philip Jenkins said the package allowed people to sample the culinary skills and the comfort and service for which Blanket Bay was known.
The package, available until October 15, includes accommodation, pre-dinner cocktails, a la carte dinner, breakfast and the use of sports equipment and facilities for $350 plus GST per person per night.
The Ultimate Escape package costs $1579 per person and includes flights and two nights' accommodation (based on two people sharing a room).
