A man was airlifted to Dunedin Hospital after being seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on the Glenorchy Rd yesterday.
Sergeant Steve Watt, of Queenstown, said the man had been riding towards Queenstown, when he hit a car driving to Glenorchy at 3pm.
"Early indications are that the motorcyclist was over the centre line and the car heading to Glenorchy had to take action and pulled to the right.
Subsequently, the motorbike has scraped down the left hand side of the car," he said.
The motorcycle came to rest in a ditch, Sgt Watt said.
The occupants of the car, a man and woman from Glenorchy, were uninjured and taken to Queenstown Police Station to be interviewed, he said. Serious crash investigators from Invercargill would examine the scene, he said.
