Fly Me to the Moon, All of Me, Vine Street Rumble and many more classic jazz and swing numbers will be played live in the Queenstown Gardens on Sunday by the only big band south of the Waitaki River and outside Dunedin.

The Queenstown Jazz Orchestra will play from its repertoire of more than 30 American and Latin American hits made famous by such stars as Glenn Miller and Frank Sinatra.

The concert, at the band rotunda on Sunday, will start at 2pm.

It will feature Queenstown singer and new band member Hine Marchand.

Orchestra spokesman and drummer Peter Doyle, of Arrowtown, said everyone should bring a seat or picnic blanket and food and drink for the show.

"It'll be a varied couple of hours of big band jazz, and if you haven't heard the band before you should definitely come along," he said.
