Nature is seen through the prism of abstract photography by two Nelson photographers in their debut Queenstown exhibition in the Cloakroom Gallery, from June 25 to July 1.
Partners Joni Bridge and Danielle Johnson will in person present their collection of 24 photographs on canvas, 25 wooden block-mounted photographs and 10 framed photographs, in their exhibition "Places in Between".
Johnson said she had exhibited in her native England before, during her seven-year career, but never in New Zealand until the Queenstown show.
She said they chose Queenstown because they both loved the resort and Bridge had family there. The winter festival would attract viewings.
"Places in Between" will open in the gallery, on the corner of Ballarat and Stanley Sts, at 11am to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm.
Cloakroom Gallery manager Sue Wademan said it was the first time artists from elsewhere in New Zealand had specifically chosen to exhibit their works in the venue.
The Queenstown Art Society encouraged more artists to get in touch, she said.
