Wanaka police have recovered more items as part of their ongoing investigation into a string of youth-related burglaries of holiday homes in the resort.
A 15-year-old Wanaka boy will be dealt with by Youth Aid in relation to an alleged incident of receiving stolen property, police said.
Constable Bruce McLean said the teenager was driving his car on Sunday when he was stopped by police.
He was found to be in possession of a large flat-screen television, reported stolen from a Wanaka property in February, Const McLean said.
The teenager had links to a group of youths who had recently come to the attention of Wanaka police for their obnoxious antics, Const McLean told the Otago Daily Times yesterday.
Hunter Cres residents have complained to police about the behaviour of youths at a property in the area, he said.
Two males were arrested at a Hunter Cres property in separate incidents during the weekend.
A 20-year-old male has been charged with offensive behaviour after he "gobbed off" at police in a foul-mouthed tirade, while a 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis, Const McLean said.
"We're not prepared to tolerate the kind of behaviour these guys are displaying.
"We've had various complaints from neighbours about a good spectrum of offences; dishonesty, noise, intoxication, and driving incidents," Const McLean said.
The two males arrested at the weekend are scheduled to appear in the Queenstown District Court on November 15, he said.
