Queenstown tandem skydiving pioneer Nzone Skydive is "stoked'' to be cited by Forbes magazine in its list of the world's 11 best places to skydive in 2016.

The article highlights the 250,000 tandem jumps the company has racked up in its 25-year history, as well as its oldest customer being a 94-year-old.

NZone business development manager Derek Melnick said it was "stoked'' to be included.

"I think this just cements the work we have done over the past 25 years, and demonstrates how unique it is to skydive right beside the stunning Remarkables.''

It was an accolade all Queenstown people could be proud of, Mr Melnick said.

"It once again illustrates that when we add all the ingredients of adventure on offer in Queenstown, together with the dramatic environment we are blessed with, we achieve the enviable title of ‘Adventure Capital of The World'.''

Other places on the list included Victoria Falls, Mt Everest and the Grand Canyon.
