Treble Cone's $20 million gondola bid has its second resource consent hearing in Wanaka tomorrow - almost two years after the application was first heard by independent commissioners David Collins and Gillian McLeod.
The pair will return to hear a resource consent application by Treble Cone's parent company Snowline Holdings Ltd to build a 3.04km-long gondola rising 909m from the Matukituki Valley floor to the skifield.
Snowline Holdings lodged an amended application in August, which took into account suggestions made by the commissioners in a interim decision, released in December 2006, after the proposed gondola's first resource consent hearing.
The revised gondola application has a recommendation for the commissioners to approve the proposal from the Queenstown lakes District Council's top Wanaka planning consultant Christian Martin.
The resource consent hearing begins at 9am at Edgewater Resort in Wanaka tomorrow.
