A 34-year-old Chinese man who crossed the centre line several times has been charged with dangerous driving and is expected to appear in the Queenstown District Court on Monday.
Senior Constable Chris Blackford said the man, on holiday from China, was observed crossing the centre line on the Queenstown-Glenorchy Rd before he pulled "completely on to the wrong side of the road on a blind bend" about 7.30pm last night.
The driver initially didn't stop when police activated their lights and sirens "but finally stopped in the middle of the road".
