They are in Queenstown this week to play at the Queenstown Violin Summer School (QVSS) Festival of Chamber Music.
The pair opened the Young Virtuosi concert at St Peter's Anglican Church on Tuesday night, with Jun on the piano and Yuuki on the cello, playing Beethoven's Sonata in C major.
Jun is an award-winning alumni of the Queenstown Violin Summer School and was asked to play at the Young Virtuosi concert.
He agreed, on condition his brother could accompany him.
Jun also played violin for Stravinsky's Duo Concertante in the concert.
Jun is studying piano for a masters degree under Peter Nagy in Budapest and takes violin lessons from Prof Yair Kless in Vienna.
He won a first prize of $10,000 at the Kerikeri National Piano Competition, which helped pay for his overseas studies.
Yuuki is completing his studies in London at the Purcell School of Music.
The QVSS festival continues on Saturday with NZTrio at St Peter's, and on Sunday at Skyline with a film screening.
The International Festival Concert will take place at St Peter's on January 18 and the Showcase Concert on January 21 at Queenstown Memorial Hall.
All four events start at 8pm.
The Grand Finale concert will feature the best from the Queenstown Violin Summer School students.
