Man charged with police officer's assault

A 25-year-old man has been charged with disorderly behaviour and assaulting a police officer in Queenstown last night.

Police were called to a disorder incident on Marine Parade at about 10.45pm.

The man was arrested at the scene and also charged with resisting police.

He is due to appear at Queenstown District Court on Monday.
