Ninety-nine tickets have been issued for illegal parking in Shotover Country and Lake Hayes Estate in the four weeks since enforcement began.
The Queenstown Lakes District Council began issuing the $40 fines on July 24, following a month-long education campaign in which flyers were placed on illegally-parked vehicles.
Council spokesman Jack Barlow said the enforcement effort in the two suburbs would continue at "broadly" the same level in the future.
It had received 13 requests for service from home occupiers in the area, relating to parking, since ticketing began.
The council's regulatory manager, Anthony Hall told the Otago Daily Times in July the infringements were an effort to stop damage to verges and the vital infrastructure underneath.
A council subcommittee voted in June to put up signs at the entrances to the subdivisions, prohibiting drivers from parking on verges, which enabled enforcement to start.
