One person has seriously injuries after a car went off the road near Queenstown this afternoon.
A police spokeswoman said police received reports of a car going off the Glenorchy-Queenstown Rd, near Fishermans Ln, at 3.03pm.
A St John spokesman said a man was taken to Lakes District Hospital by ambulance in a serious condition.
A helicopter was sent and had landed, but was not required.
The road was initially blocked and there were no diversions in place, but it had reopened by 4.45pm.
