Police are urging people to lock their vehicles after a spate of thefts in Arrowtown.
Sergeant Steve Watt, of Queenstown, said property was taken from three cars on McDonnell Rd on Wednesday evening and from a fourth vehicle the night before on the same road.
All the vehicles were unlocked.
Cash and other items, including a ski helmet, were taken.
"We encourage people to secure their vehicles, whether they're on a driveway or out on the street, and always remove items that could be attractive [to thieves]," Sgt Watt said.
