Patricia Duke, of Auckland, wife of Briscoes managing director Rod Duke, won the tournament, Cure Kids South Island and Fiji regional manager Josie Spillane, of Queenstown, said.
"A lady winner is fantastic. There were only three women in the field and she did extremely well."
Avid Auckland golfer Mark Sullivan's name was drawn for a prize of a year's membership to The Hills, worth more than $10,000. Mr Sullivan was the only member of his four-strong team from Auckland who did not have a membership, until the draw during the event last Friday and Saturday.
Deidre McAlpine, of Auckland, won a trip for four to the top of the Remarkables with the Over The Top Helicopter Company.
A total of 46 players, many of whom were managing directors, chief executives and senior managers, competed in the individual stableford tournament for $20,000 worth of prizes donated by The Golf Warehouse.
Mrs Spillane said organisers were "continually tweaking the open to provide the best tournament and raise money for medical research into life-threatening diseases that affect children, such as cystic fibrosis, leukemia and for hole-in-the-heart babies."
