The Dunedin sessions, for up to 20 people, will be led by Andersons Bay teacher Robert Piggott. (Last month the Canlive Charitable Trust began a programme in Central Otago).
Ian Gawler, a long-term cancer survivor, developed the programme which is described as a self-help programme to meet and help overcome the challenges of cancer.
It includes sessions on diet, meditation and positive thinking.
Mr Piggott said it was designed to be complementary to any mainstream medical treatment.
The programme was practical and not dogmatic - "what works for one person might not work for another''.
Although not a cancer patient himself, he had suffered from chronic fatigue in the late 1990s and had changed his diet and other aspects of his lifestyle, which had helped him to combat the illness.
He became interested in the Gawler programme and completed training to become a facilitator last September.
The programme will be held on Sundays between 10am and 1pm at the Aromatic Dispensary in Kaikorai Valley road (formerly Kenmure Intermediate).
Anyone interested can contact Mr Piggott.
