State Highway 1 was closed for a time north of Oamaru this morning after a truck crash brought down a power line.
A police spokeswoman said emergency services were called to the single-vehicle crash near Makikihi, at 10.41am.
A power line was down, and the highway was closed while this was attended to.
The NZ Transport Agency said the crash occurred near the intersection of SH1 and Makikihi Beach Rd.
A diversion was in place while the highway was closed. The NZTA said the road had reopened just before midday.
No injuries were reported.
