South Canterbury Road Safety is teaming up with Zonta and South Canterbury Toyota to run another free session for women to learn more about car maintenance, including how to fit new wipers, change a tyre and check the oil in their car.
The event is the third of its kind and spaces were fully booked at the last two events. It will be held at South Canterbury Toyota on November 18, from 5.30pm-7.30pm.
In a statement, South Canterbury Road Safety co-ordinator Michelle Bunt said the free event would have places for 50 women.
"We’re really grateful to these organisations for continuing to work with us to promote road safety and female empowerment.
"We’re expecting lots of interest again, so we encourage those interested to register as soon as possible to avoid missing out."
The event will be in Toyota’s workshop and showroom; complimentary nibbles will be provided by Zonta at the commencement of the evening.
There will also be a chance to learn about new vehicle safety technology and hybrid cars in a friendly, supportive environment.
Those wanting to attend the event must be 18 years old or over and can register online on the South Canterbury Road Safety website.
