Clutha's senior athletes will be primed for action in Balclutha next month.
The 12th annual Clutha Super Masters Games will be held at the Balclutha War Memorial Hall on October 15.
Designed to give the district's elderly community a day out involving friendship, activity and fun, the games involves teams from rest-homes and clubs.
Games convener Harry Peggie, who has been involved in the games since their inception in 1997, said it was hard to believe the event was into its 12th year.
About 100 competitors are expected to take part in the games which begin with the traditional opening ceremony and will include games of skittles, quoits, twister, floor netball and darts.
Other regular fixtures will include entertainers Eddy van Asperen and Russell Kirk who have performed music and songs at every games while Clutha Mayor Juno Hayes will officially open the games at 1pm.
Mr Peggie said two sporting personalities had also been confirmed for the big day with Clutha Valley-based powerlifter Bruce Park and Owaka sportswoman Coral Willocks the special guests.
