Thirteen new citizens were welcomed to the Clutha district at Balclutha yesterday.
Clutha Mayor Bryan Cadogan thanked those gathered for the "magnificent turnout" and said he could not remember a larger citizenship ceremony in his time on the council.
New citizens were welcomed by councillors and council staff, and were each presented with a kowhai plant.
