There have been two thefts from properties in the Clutha district over the past three weeks.
Senior Constable Tanya Grant, of Balclutha, said a homemade wrought iron spring-loaded gate and almost 3m of iron garden edging were removed from a property in Eddystone St, Kaitangata.
In Balclutha, a garage was entered in Wilson Rd and a hedge trimmer and chainsaw taken, along with two 10l petrol containers.
A green and brown kayak was lost from Taieri Ferry Rd during the weekend of the floods andan Apple iPad was found on the front doorstep of the Lawrence Police Station. Snr Const Grant advised anyone that was missing one to contact the police, as it may have been left behind and found on the road before it was put at the station.
