Clutha's version of the senior Olympics will be held in Balclutha on Wednesday.
The 16th annual Clutha Super Masters Games is expected to attract competitors from throughout the district. There will be five events - skittles, quoits, twister throw, floor netball and darts - over two hours.
Held in the Balclutha War Memorial Hall, the games are designed for senior citizens, and aimed at providing a fun and light-hearted competition.
Senior citizens from rest-homes and clubs will take part in the event.
Games past president Harry Peggie said it was an afternoon of fun for Clutha's older residents.
South Otago High School students Mikayla Latta and Sam Hollows are this year's local sporting personalities and will carry flags in the games' opening ceremony at 1pm.
The Clutha Super Masters Games will be held in the Balclutha War Memorial Hall on Wednesday, October 17, beginning at 1pm.
