Balclutha Motors won Nissan New Zealand’s Dealer Excellence, Elite Dealer and Elite Master Dealer titles to be recognised as this year’s highest achieving Nissan dealership in the country.
"We’ve won many excellence certificates over the years but this is the first time we’ve taken out the top dealership award," owner manager Jared McPhee said.
"It really represents the dedication and high standards of everyone here."
He said sales numbers and other business data were collected and collated by head office to set targets which Balclutha Motors consistently exceeded, and the awards represented an aggregate of overall achievement for compliance, customer service and sales.
"We’re the only local dealership owned by local people and we also have one of the smallest territories," Mr McPhee said
"But we do have a valuable customer base outside the district, as well as a lot of strong local relationships with returning local customers. Balclutha Motors has been around forever. I only took over about 13 years ago and I really appreciate and respect the effort and skill of the whole team in maintaining those relationships, and that helps us with what we do to support other organisations and the community as a whole."
