Two passengers travelling on an overnight bus received a rude awakening when the bus left the road near Clinton early this morning.
The Night Rider bus, which operates an Invercargill to Christchurch overnight bus run, left State Highway 1 just south of Clinton and rolled before coming to rest on its side in a paddock.
Sergeant Martin Bull, of Balclutha, said two passengers received minor injuries while the driver was unhurt.
