Invercargill police have named the man who died after a Tramway Rd fire on Wednesday morning.
He was Alan Patrick Pirus Sarginson (51), of Riverton.
Mr Sarginson's body was discovered in an Invercargill flat, one of two in a block of five that was gutted by fire, just after 1am on Wednesday.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. However, police do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances.
