Downed tree closes Invercargill road

A tree and power lines have fallen across a street in Invercargill, blocking one lane of the road this afternoon.

Emergency services were called at about 2.45pm to Mason Rd, near Rockdale Rd, in Seaward Bush.

A police spokeswoman said one lane was currently blocked while the team assessed the area.

No injuries were reported, she said.
