Police are appealing to any individuals or organisations who may have CCTV footage relevant to the search for a missing Invercargill man.

Raymond Horn was reported missing from Walmsley House, his rest-home in Richmond, early on Monday, February 15.

After CCTV footage was found of 68-year-old walking through Queens Park between 10.20am and 11am that day, the search over the weekend focused on this area.

It included helicopters, dog teams, 21 people in the field and the draining of all the park’s ponds.

The Otepuni Stream and Waihopai River were also searched. Still, nothing was found that gave any indication of Mr Horn’s whereabouts.

Detective Alun Griffiths said tonight that police were particularly interested in footage from the blocks surrounding Queens Park on February 15 and 16.

Det Griffiths said work today focused on analysing a large amount of CCTV footage, as well as following up calls from members of the public.

Police have established that Mr Horn was on McMaster St, and in the vicinity of Queens Park, but were still trying to piece together his movements from there.

“We are asking any households or businesses who may have CCTV footage which could assist to please preserve this footage until we are able to get to them.”

LandSAR will resume searching for Mr Horn on Tuesday.

Those looking for Mr Horn were still working on the theory he is alive. However the man in charge, Sergeant Ian Martin, acknowledged that the search area should have been widened earlier.

It was initially thought Mr Horn would not be able to walk far due to his limited mobility.

Sgt Martin previously expressed concern Mr Horn had got into trouble, such as being locked in a shed, and needed help.

However, because of a stroke, he was unable to communicate verbally.

Mr Horn was believed to be wearing a black and red jacket and possibly a light-coloured polo shirt, gym shoes and sweat-pants or jeans.

Anyone with information should call police on 105 and quote event number P045508171.

If Mr Horn is seen, call 111.
