Nasa seventh launch attempt was postponed at 4.50am this morning due to forecast winds potentially causing the flight to go off course.
A Nasa spokesperson said "The projected flight trajectory had our balloon climbing out over the South Island and then onto the North Island on a path that was unacceptable for launch."
Nasa has yet to announce if will make another attempted launch tomorrow morning.
