One hurt in tourist van crash on Crown Range

One of the four people travelling in a Mitsubishi van was treated for minor injuries after the van hit a guardrail and overturned on the Crown Range Rd between Wanaka and Queenstown at 11am yesterday.

Wanaka police said the 19-year-old foreign tourist driving the van lost control on a corner near Bridge 4, after striking grit.

He is due to appear in the Queenstown District Court on June 25, charged with careless use of a motor vehicle.
