Treble Cone skifield announced this week experienced snow sports professional Toby Arnott had been appointed the ski area's new general manager, and would take up the position at the end of the month.

The Queenstown man will join Treble Cone from NZSki, where
he is general manager of
snowsports and responsible for the management of 400 staff.

He will take over the position from Jackie van der Voort, who left the role in February to take a seat on the ski area board.

Mr Arnott said he was "thrilled'' to join Treble Cone as it celebrates its 50th winter season.

"I'm excited about working with the Treble Cone board to bring a fresh approach to an already vibrant business"

We are the South's eyes and ears in crucial council meetings, at court hearings, on the sidelines of sporting events and on the frontline of breaking news.

As our region faces uncharted waters in the wake of a global pandemic, Otago Daily Times continues to bring you local stories that matter.

We employ local journalists and photographers to tell your stories, as other outlets cut local coverage in favour of stories told out of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
