Cardrona Alpine Resort has announced its opening day will be pushed back by one week to Saturday, June 20 due to a mild start to winter. Chief mountains officer Laura Hedley said staff were working hard to get the resort ready. “Winter slept in on us a little this year, but conditions are changing fast — it’s cold, the snowguns are running and our teams are up on the mountain training and getting the resort ready. “We can’t wait to open.” Treble Cone was expected to open a week later, on schedule, on June 27, Ms Hedley said.
