A Buller’s mollymawk (toroa) soars effortlessly on long, narrow, stiffly held wings south of Chalky Inlet, in Fiordland. Buller’s mollymawks are one of the more abundant small albatrosses around coastal areas of New Zealand, according to New Zealand Birds Online, which says their black-and-gold bill and black-and-white plumage make them readily identifiable.
