Two injured in crash

Two people were taken to hospital, one with serious injuries, after a two-vehicle crash near Invercargill.

A police spokeswoman said they were notified of the crash on the Lorne-Dacre road (SH98) about 2.55pm yesterday.

Traffic management was in place while emergency services worked at the scene, but

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi advised at 5pm the road had reopened.

Crews from Kingswell and Invercargill stations responded to the callout.

A St John spokesman said two people were assessed at the scene and taken to Southland Hospital. — Allied Media
