King's High School and Otago Girls' High School won the senior boys' and senior girls' team relay races at the 2018 Caversham Harriers High Schools Relay yesterday.
The King's foursome beat its rival from Otago Boys' High School by just under 30 seconds and Otago Girls' was more than a minute quicker than second placed St Hilda's Collegiate.
John McGlashan College had a narrow win in the junior boys' relay and Otago Girls' did the double, winning the junior girls' relay.
Kavanagh College claimed the honours in the mixed senior relay and Bayfield High School won the junior mixed relay.
Rebekah Hill (Otago Girls') recorded the fastest time for the senior girls, finishing in 6min 23sec. Nathan Hill (Otago Boys'), with a time of 5min 04sec, was 21 seconds faster than any of the other senior boys.
Josh Hou (John McGlashan) was the fastest junior boy and Jordon Evans-Tobata (Otago Girls') the fastest junior girl.
