The Black Caps will be looking to continue with a bouncer barrage as the side heads to London to take on Bangladesh in the World Cup.

Both teams have the record of played one, won one so there will be plenty at stake.

The Black Caps had a convincing 10-wicket win over Sri Lanka in Cardiff on June 2 while Bangladesh scored something of an upset with a 21-run win over South Africa at The Oval on Monday. The Oval will also be the setting for this intriguing encounter. It will be the first day-night fixture of the tournament, so there will be much interest in how the outfield and pitch will play when the light fades.

New Zealand pace bowler Lockie Ferguson said the side was looking to keep taking wickets and he was hoping to continue on from the game against Sri Lanka in which he was aggressive and threatening.

''I think my bowling has come a long way in the last few years but it is a constant work-on.

''But as I bowl quick, and don't rely so much on swing and seam, I have to work hard as we go through this comp,'' Ferguson said.

''We have to keep learning because what we think is that every ground that we play in this tournament is going to be different.

''We had a good start, shook off a few nerves. But it is only just a start.''

Ferguson was not putting any faith in the talk he was the quickest bowler at the tournament, noting the faster he bowled the faster the ball went to the boundary.

The side was full of excitement and everyone was pushing each other in training.

Conditions may play a part in games, Ferguson said, as there could be a bit in the pitch in the mornings while it flattened out in the afternoon and into the night.

The Black Caps should have confidence after beating Bangladesh easily when it toured New Zealand last summer.

New Zealand won the three match one-day series 3-0 and was never under any pressure from the visiting side.

A cloudy but dry day is forecast for London.
