The Zappers have shocked Auckland A with a stunning run chase to go through the T20 A tournament in Taupō undefeated.

Otago A was left chasing a massive 202 to win after Will O’Donnell clouted 71 to help his side post 201 for four.

But Hugo Bogue hit back with 87 from 51 and Ruben Clinton added an undefeated 54 from 25 to seal the five-wicket win.

It completed a wonderful tournament for the Zappers and for Bogue, who is scoring runs at all levels this season.

He already has two centuries and half-century in the opening month of the Dunedin premier grade club competition.

In the morning game yesterday, they dispatched Wellington A by 36 runs (DLS method). Jake Gibson pummelled 74 from 32 balls to help the Zappers reach 179 for seven from 16 overs.

Zac Cumming and Nikith Perera took three wickets apiece to help roll Wellington A for 137.

On the opening day on Tuesday, the Zappers posted a six-wicket win against Central Districts A and a 59-run win against Northern Districts.

Andrew Hazeldine starred in the fixture against CD. He nabbed four for 24 to help dismiss them for 130.

Bogue top-scored in the chase with 63 from 34 balls.

Llew Johnson swatted 80 from 44 balls against Northern and Cumming claimed three for 19 to help clinch a comfortable win.

• The West Indies were 346 for five at stumps in their two-day warm-up game against a New Zealand XI in Lincoln yesterday.

Tagenarine Chanderpaul top-scored with 85 retired out. Otago duo Thomas O’Connor and Toby Hart are in the side.

O’Connor removed opener John Campbell for 68 and finished the day with one for 31.

Hart (one for 28) accounted for Alick Athanaze for 23.
