Dunedin Technical is having to do things the hard way this year.
The club has been drawn to play its Kate Sheppard Cup semifinal against Wellington United in the nation's capital.
It will be the first time a team from the South has gone on the road this deep in the competition.
That follows last year's semifinal, when Tech played Auckland's Glenfield Rovers in Dunedin.
It was the first time a southern team had played in a national women's knockout semifinal.
This side has shown the ability to win on the road already this season, though.
It put on an impressive display on Sunday to beat Coastal Spirit 4-1 in Christchurch, dominating the game from start to finish.
Wellington United scored three second-half goals to beat Wairarapa United 3-1 in its quarterfinal.
The match is scheduled for the weekend of August 25-26.
