The Park sextet won in style and its emphatic 5-1 victory over Taieri contained some impressive individual winning margins.
Taieri No 2 and former Otago No 1 Brett Kennelly was the only Taieri winner, beating Park captain Mark Collie with three holes to spare.
But the remaining matches were one-way traffic. Conor Jamieson won the battle of the No 1 players, confirming his victory on the par-four 16th against Mark Andrews.
The Geary brothers, Sean and Kyle, were always in control in the middle-order matches, beating Taieri's Mat Lee and Ian Boath respectively.
Antony McCullough at No 5 required a mere 13 holes to beat Bob Burns, while at No 6, Cody McMullan gave the Park team its third 4 and 3 win.
Otago Gold fancied its chances of upsetting St Clair at Balmacewen, bringing Michael Smith out of ''retirement.''
Smith halved with Michael Ormandy, while at No 6 Jeremy Morgan halved with Greg Johnson.
But this was the only joy for the home team, as St Clair won the other four games.
Both Brent McEwan, at No 1, and Tony Giles, at No 2, beat John McIntee and Chris Timms, respectively, on the 16th green.
Otago Gold's Kris Rush was no match for St Clair's No 5 Stephen Hitchcox while the team's No 3 Chris Snow was three up with four holes to lay.
But his opponent Jodin Johnson had other ideas, scoring a hole-in-one with a two iron on the long par three 15th.
It was Johnson's first ace but was not sufficient to save the match and Snow prevailed two holes later.
The final round of section play will be held on Saturday and after catch-up games between St Clair and Chisholm Park, and Taieri and Otago Gold next Sunday, the finalists will be found.
Otago will have the home final while the odds are on St Clair hosting the single semifinal with Otago Gold as opposition.
