Youngsters wanting a crack at rugby league in Dunedin will get a chance this month.
Otago Rugby League and a group of league enthusiasts have organised some rugby league skills sessions followed by a series of games to get children involved.
The skills sessions start on May 11, at noon at the Oval, and will run for the following two Sundays. They will cover tackling and tactics and will conclude with a tournament on May 25.
Boys and girls will be separated into teams of years 4-6 and years 7-8. The sessions will be on, no matter the weather.
A mini rugby league competition for young players will start at the Oval on June 15 and run for the following weeks.
