Courtney Duncan
Palmerston rider Courtney Duncan has taken two more giant strides towards winning the 2019 Women’s Motocross World Championships, dominating in Europe overnight.
The 23-year-old flew in from her hometown near Dunedin to blitz the qualifying session, registering a time two seconds quicker than the next best rider at the Czech Grand Prix track at Loket, the third round of five in the Women’s Motocross World Championships (WMX) series.
Duncan then scored back-to-back wins on the hard-packed track, giving her an impressive tally of five race wins from six starts in the championships thus far.
