The multisport event was won by Team Thermatech Thighs of Steel, of Nelson, in 8hr 42min 27sec.
Ingrid Richter, Lynley Coventry and Naomi Whitehead claimed the 10-hour adventure race title in an event that included navigation, mountain biking and rafting.
Team R&R Sport (Sophie Hart and Suzie Wood, of Nelson, and Fleur Pawsey, of Christchurch) was second in 8hr 59min 20sec.
Wanaka-based Team Thule/Gu Energy (Jess Simpson, Jo Williams and Sia Svensden) was third in 10hr 15min 42sec.
The 10-hour veteran category was won by Nelson's Team Topzone (Penny Sue Franklin, Jo Harris and Vicky Shelling) in 10hr 57min 22sec, beating Team Smoking Turtles (Suzie Le Cren, Jacqui Nathan and Leigh Champion, of Nelson) and Team The Mint Chicks (Leigh Cockerill, Linda Craig and Julia Cree, of Auckland).
In the six-hour event, Team Wanaka Chicks (Nikki Shaw, Carolina Dumas and Ailsa Rolinson) won in 5hr 35min 13sec, while the three-hour open race was won by Team MSG (Meredith Rookes, Steph Grieve and Georgie Inglis, of Christchurch) in 2hr 55min 23sec.
Team Ajax (Abbey Franklin, of Nelson, Beatrice Fulton and Georgina Fulton, both of Christchurch) won the secondary school race in 2hr 58min 12sec.
It was the first time the Spring Challenge had been held in the Queenstown Lakes.
Competitors rafted on the Kawarau River, as well as cycling, running and hiking.
